I think you will get to know me better through an interview – a five minute interview! Here it is – and thanks to Maria for introducing me to the survey.

Five Minute Interview

If I weren’t writing this right now I’d be… starting on my summer homework.

I wish people would take more notice of… themselves. Don’t judge someone else especially if you don’t know the whole deal. Think before you say something; look at yourself before you whine about other people’s qualities.

The most surprising thing that happened to me was… knowing the fact that we were to move to Canada in six months. This was in 2005 when my parents announced to my sister and I that our family was moving to Canada. Although my parents told me that I had the choice to either move or stay, I decided to move and I am thankful for the blessings that the Lord has given me.

A common misperception of me is… that I’m a showoff or that I am a good athlete. I wish I was a good athlete, but sadly, I’m not.

I am not a politician but… the world must work together and unite to end poverty, racism, and genocide. In terms of my home government, I think that the Philippine government must specifically address the issue concerning poverty, where 40% of the country’s population is below the poverty line. Instead of looking at improving the economy which only benefits the higher classes of society, the government should actually make a difference to the common Filipino.

I’m good at… saying things but not doing it in the end. I really hoped that I could exercise at least thrice a week last summer, but sadly this failed and I failed to do this at all.

I’m very bad at… remembering things, especially during phone conversations. When someone asks me what we were talking about, I simply say: “I forgot.”

The ideal night out is… not the same everyday – it depends on the current mood of the person. On a great day, a small get together in a cozy penthouse with lots of food and drink, catching up with our own busy lives could be awesome. Contrariwise, an ideal night out can be achieved by simply just reading a good book.

In moments of weakness I… just cry. I know it’s not really the ‘guy’ thing to do but crying really helps a lot. It allows one to release their anger or frustrations. I do hope that I pray in moments of weakness, because the best thing to do is to leave everything in His hands.

You know me as a student but I may also have been… a musician?

In a nutshell, my philosophy is this: Life is after all, worth living, and God will always be there in every circumstance.
